WHAT DO I NEED TO START TAKING PRACTICAL DRIVING LESSONS You need to be aged 17 years with a provisional licence. theory test can be done along side practical lessons as its only valid for 2 years and needed before you apply for practical test. (See Theory section)
I HAVE SEEN LESSONS FOR £5 EACH? SO HOW MANY LESSONS WILL IT TAKE ME TO PASS? Depends on your age and ability. A 17 year old quick learner can pass in 30 lessons from having no prior experience. With age and ability it will increase. A slow learner age 60+ can take upto 100 lessons to pass. Everyone can pass the test it is not impossible its all about motivation. WHY
SHOULD I TRAIN FROM YOU AS APPOSED TO BSM? |

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU GOT THEN? |

SOME SCHOOLS ADVERTISE FREE TEST IF YOU FAIL Have
you read the small print. You have to pass a minimum of at least 2 mock
driving tests before you can apply for a test. With a waiting list of
2 months that will be an extra 4-8 lessons more than you need. By the
way you still have to pay DSA test fee its only the 2 hours for test that
are free. So if you are willing to meet that condition then i will be
happy to give you 2nd test free as it will probably take at least 10-20
more lessons than you really need to pass a mock test twice. I can also
make the mock tests almost impossible to pass. I actually follow the DSA
syllabus and if you can do the whole driving syllabus independently then
you are ready for a driving test. I will give you a mock test on test
routes too and if you are getting less than 15 small faults you are ready
for the test. You can apply when you we both feel confident in your driving.
SOME SCHOOLS ARE DOING LESSONS FOR £15 CAN YOU MATCH THIS Those
are 45 minute lessons and i dont believe 45 minute lessons are enough
to learn properly. I and AA recommend 2 hour lessons. If you want 45 minute
lessons then i can certainly match that but i can assure you that you
are wasting your time and money as a structured lesson has 1st 10-15minutes
as introduction and drive to suitable location with demonstrations of
subject being taught then at least 20 minutes of continous practice repeating
until near perfection using a system of core competencies and 5-15 minutes
for evaluation, recap, question/answer session and to book next appointment.
In 2 hours you will get triple practice time upto 60-80minutes driving.
Remember the average human concentration level dips after 20minutes and
important to have evaluation every 20minutes. IT IS CHEAPER FOR ME TO DO A DRIVING LESSON FROM WORK TO HOME THAN CATCHING A TAXI? Im sorry but i dont do taxi service i do professional lessons so for this you will need to find another instructor who is most likely short of work.
